The bicycle twist grip shifter can display the gears incorrectly if the cable tension is not properly adjusted. This can cause the shifter to misalign with the actual gear position, leading to confusion for the rider. Additionally, if the shifter is not properly maintained or if the gear cable is worn or frayed, it can also lead to inaccurate gear display. This can result in difficulty shifting and an unreliable indication of the current gear. Regular maintenance and proper adjustment of the cable tension can help ensure that the twist grip shifter displays the gears accurately. **
